Why buy bottled water? Use a refillable bottle, filled with good tasting, filtered water.

Isn’t the bottled water you buy good for you?

What do you really know about that bottle of water you are paying so much for? Where does it come from? Is it regulated? How old is it? Has the plastic bottle overheated in transit to the store, possibly releasing chemicals to the water? Is it safe for your child? The truth is that water is good for you – what is or isn’t in it – that may not be so good.

Some bottled water treatment removes the natural minerals, making the water corrosive. And along with packaging and spin, you might be getting the chemicals that are leached from plastic over its hot and cold lifetime.

An upcoming project in Melbourne, Australia:

Clean, cold and “green” water, wherever you are.

Unbottled.org is currently developing a single-serve water vending machine that will allow you to fill up your bottle with freshly filtered, cold water for a fraction of the cost of buying a throw away bottle of water. We plan to begin by positioning them around Melbourne in places where people regularly gather and need access to great water. Why not just use a tap, you might ask? Well, we encourage you to, but if the taste of chlorine is an issue, if you want your water chilled, extra clean and remineralized, the Unbottled vending machine is going to save you time and money (you should be able to fill a 600ml bottle in 10 secs and never stand in line waiting for someone to serve you). Of course, it is still the easiest, most convenient way to make a real difference to the environment and your greenhouse footprint as well.

And finally, the profits will be used to continue our quest to provide clean, affordable water to the world's poorest people, through the WonWater Project. So keep an eye out here, and by next summer on the streets, for this great development in the evolution of water delivery.

Carry your fresh water in style in safe, inert Tritan.

Kor Water Hydration Vessels*

Plastic, aluminium and stainless steel bottles all vary in quality, beauty, and their ability to remain inert. Only glass is really going to add nothing to your water, but that is often not the best choice for travelling with.

Our selection of KOR water bottles are the best and most cost effective we have found, and all of them better, by far, for the health of our planet.

The main body of KOR vessels is made from a BPA-free material called Tritan. The handle and side trim parts are made from ABS plastic, and the seal, cap insert and soft base (makes it non-slip) are made from food-grade silicone. *BPA Free (Bisphenol-A Free).
